At La Mano del Mono we are proud to have been recognized with the Award Skål International Sustainable Tourism 2025 in the category Innovative and Sustainable Technology Solutions by the model Market Ready Tourisma tool that promotes the development of community-based tourism businesses and destinations based on principles of sustainability, innovation and regeneration.

A historic edition for sustainable tourism
The awards ceremony took place on September 26 in Cusco, Peruduring the Opening Ceremony of the 84th Skål International World Congressin the presence of its Board of Directors headed by Denise ScraftonThe company's global and local authorities, as well as senior Peruvian officials, were also present.
This year, the awards reached historical edition by gathering 106 proposals from 30 countriescompeting in eight categories that reflect the global commitment to tourism responsible, ethical and innovative. Since its inception in 2002, this event has established itself as one of the most important international platforms for to recognize and make visible good sustainable tourism practices around the world.
Market Ready Tourism: innovation with real impact
Market Ready Tourism is a model designed to accompany community and nature-based tourism ventures and destinations to strengthen its competitiveness, connect with responsible markets, and ensure that tourism contributes to conservation and local wellbeing.
To date, the model has impacted more than 650 tourism companies in 20 countrieswith measurable results such as:
Average increase of 45 % in revenues of small tourism businesses.
Increased participation of women in leadership roles (of the 10 % to 40 %).
More of 120 businesses formed in biodiversity-sensitive practices and more than 30,000 travelers sensitized on conservation.
Significant advances in renewable energies, carbon footprint reduction, circular economy and community governance.
These results demonstrate that technology and innovation can be allies in transforming tourism into a regenerative forcecapable of protecting ecosystems, empowering communities and generating fair economic opportunities.

The Awards jury was comprised of international experts and strategic partners, including: UN Tourism, Biosphere Tourism - Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI) y Sustainable Travel Internationalwho, in addition to independently evaluating, offer memberships and resources to strengthen the winners and participants.
