The workshop entitled "What you don't know that you don't know about sustainable tourism management in natural protected areas in Mexico," designed by Natura Reserve, the first reservation and visitor system for natural areas and supported by the allied team of La Mano del Monowill take place within the framework of the Mexican Forum on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and its members. Its purpose is to reshape perspectives on tourism in environmental conservation areas. Mexico, a corner of natural majesty, is home to treasures in the form of protected areas, both public, private and community-based. These jewels of nature exert a powerful attraction on a steady stream of between 25 and 30 million visitors annually, a figure that surprisingly continues to grow at a dizzying rate of 20% per year. Yet, in the midst of this tourism flourishing, the troubling question arises: What is the impact on the conservation of these natural wonders and how can we manage this growth in a sustainable manner?
